Circumcision and marriage practices in Malawi play a large role in society. Boys as young as eight are encouraged to seek out sex, and girls are expected to oblige. With these practices engrained in the culture, it is no surprise that HIV/AIDS proves a very big threat. Survivor’s Guide meets a young girl who is married to her stepfather. In her powerless situation, she is restricted to a life of domestic chores.
