Haemophilus Influenza type b bacteria (Hib) is estimated to cause at least 3 million cases of serious disease and 400 000 – 700 000 deaths each year in young children. More and more drug resistant strains are being discovered, and the consequences of late or no treatment are examined in Bangladesh. Kill or Cure looks at the success of vaccine trials in Gambia and the potential for more widespread vaccination programmes.
