Zelda Hansen is imprisoned - but not guilty of any crime. She has Extreme Multi-Drug Resistant TB (XMDRTB) - a form of TB that's highly infectious, almost untreatable and nearly always fatal.  To protect the public, sufferers are held in isolation at Port Elizabeth’s secure Jose Pearson Hospital.  For Zelda this means a life lived away from her husband and sons, until better drugs are found.
