In the Mont Blanc Valley an ancient cattle herding lifestyle is rapidly disappearing. The summer pastures are now much more profitable as a winter sports playground. The traditional sport of cow fighting is still practised, but these days it's little more than a tourist curiosity rather than the communal recreation experience of times past.
