Transmitted by the bite of a sand fly, Kala Azar or Visceral Lieshmaniasis is a deadly disease that attacks the internal organs. An estimated 1.5 million people worldwide are currently infected; 200 million people are at risk. The second part of the episode looks at Measles and the difficulty of large immunisation programmes in developing countries. The film also looks at future immunization programmes involving aerosol vaccines.
