Richard founded Rockhopper in late 1999 and has seen it grow from a small company making features for the BBC and National Geographic TV into a documentary maker with an international reputation.
Anya is a founding director of Rockhopper. She is a long-serving newsreader with BBC World News and, previously, Sky News. Anya was also a presenter of BBC1's flag-ship mid-evening science show "Tomorrow's World" and an award winning ITN Health Correspondent. She oversees Rockhopper's editorial output.
Since joining Rockhopper TV in April 2008 Mike has filmed in London, New York and Jordan. Mike is a keen independent filmmaker producing/directing for Channel4 as well as having his work displayed at film festivals around the world.
Elena joined Rockhopper in 2008 as Research Runner for the series 'Survival'. She has a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College. At Rockhopper, she has worked on 'Survival', 'Love in a Time of HIV' and the upcoming series 'The Other America'.
Since joining in 2006 Dick has been the linchpin of many Rockhopper productions, working as both Series Producer and Executive Producer.
Andrew joined Rockhopper in 2005 after completing a BSc in Biological Cybernetics. Since then he has managed the media archives, authored programme DVDs, and produced graphics.
He also administers the office network, directory and file services and provides technical support wherever necessary.
Liz is the key contact point for our global client base of non government organization, corporate and broadcast partners. Before joining Rockhopper she worked as a senior communications consultant in Paris, Geneva and Washington DC, and as a documentary producer here in London.
Steven joined Rockhopper TV in September 2009. As a development producer he is busy pitching ideas to UK and US broadcasters. Steven has worked in production and development in both the UK and Australia and successfully sold a format to ITV in 2006, which has gone on to sell worldwide.
Since joining Rockhopper in 2007 Nathan has filmed in Niger, Brazil,
Australia and Japan. He is currently working on our climate change series
setting up shoots in Jakarta, Dhaka and Paris. Nathan has previosuly worked as a thatcher and chippy, skills Rockhopper have used to help set-up our new edit suites. He also sources our new kit, keeping Rockhopper ahead of the game.
Since Beth joined Rockhopper she's been sent on location to Africa, Asia,
Central America, Europe, America and the Middle East. She produced the
series 'Survivor's Guide' in Morocco and Tokyo and also oversaw the
production for 'Love in a Time of HIV,' which was filmed in London, Mumbai, Cape Town, New York and St.
Petersburg. Last year she produced our one-off special about Queen Rania of
Jordan and now she is reporting from Uganda and Sierra Leone for our new Kill or
Cure series.
Joe has directed several films for Rockhopper and has been part of numerous Rockhopper series. For this year's landmark series 'Survival' Joe travelled to South Africa filming inside some of the world's most controversial hospitals dedicated to near incurable TB. He has filmed on location across the developing world and in Antarctica. Joe supervised Rockhopper's move into the world of High Definition video and has worked on the development of www.rockhopper.tv
Louisa is the accounts voice for the company. She deals with both sales/purchase and other administration duties. Louisa gained all her accounts experience from working at Cevap has introduced the accounts package Sage to Rockhopper that is now up and running.
Duncan has been with Rockhopper since Sept '08 after graduating from Imperial College London with a MSc in Science Communication. He also has a BSc in Marine Biology from St Andrews University. He is now researching on the latest series of Kill or Cure.
After graduating fom Leeds in 2007, Steve gain technical experience in both camera and edit assisting, Steve joined Rockhopper in June ‘09 to manage both camera kit and edit suites. He also prepares video material and looks after the data workflow for post production.
Alex is the Series Producer of "Alvin's Guide To Good Business", which goes on air in Feb 2010 on BBC World News. Before that, he was the Series Producer of "Survival", our landmark health series. He joined Rockhopper in 2005 and has previously directed fifteen films for us, in a dozen different countries from Burundi to Zambia.
Garry has worked at Rockhopper since 2007 as a researcher and, more recently, editing assistant, following a stint at the BBC and an MA in Film. He has worked on series like 'What A Waste' and 'Love In A Time of HIV', and also runs an independent film screening night outside of Rockhopper.
Rebecca joined Rockhopper in March 2008 after working on current affairs documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4’s “Dispatches”. Having studied Law in London and Paris, she had a brief stint in the city, but was keen to swap her attaché case and stilettos, for a camera and a boom pole. Rebecca is currently working on our 7th “Kill or Cure” series and other films.
Mark has just finished The Other America series: his second HD production for Rockhopper. He used to be part of BBC Foreign News, and has made documentaries on five continents.
Jessica joined Rockhopper in 2008 to work on "Survival", our landmark health series for BBC World News and spent six weeks in rural Bangladesh filming a moving documentary about maternal health and child survival.
Uschi joined Rockhopper in 2008 to oversee the 'Love in a Time of HIV' series, shot in the US, Russia, South Africa and India as well as the UK. Since then she has worked across Rockhopper's varied programme output and is looking forward to tackling upcoming projects in the year ahead.
Uschi has worked in the UK and the US for companies such as ITV Factuals, Fox Networks, Outline Productions, MTV, Shine and IWC.
Before joining Rockhopper to work on new productions, Anna was the head of public affairs at Medicines for Malaria Venture. Her career has spanned the campaign trails of Nelson Mandela in South Africa to the headquarters of a Swiss multinational in Geneva. She is also an avid photographer and a free-lance journalist.
Thérèse has made numerous series & one-offs for BBC 1 & 2, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV, National Geographic & Discovery Channels. She joined Rockhopper in 2007 to production manage the 'Survival' series and now oversees all our documentary series.
