Rockhopper is back in Antarctica filming at the historic WWII Port Lockroy base, which is becoming Antarctica's most popular tourist attraction.
It's our 6th visit to the sub-continent and we're combining our own archive footage of Port Lockroy with 1940's footage owned by the British Antarctic Survey to tell the base's history. It was built as a top-secret British operation during World War II, converted to science research in the 1950s and 60s, and is now run by the British Antarctic Heritage Trust.
You can buy a DVD of the film by visiting Port Lockroy - or view it on-line here (for free).
